Valsartan (trade name Diovan) is a medication used to treat high blood pressure. This drug was recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 13, 2018. Diovan/Valsartan may contain N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), which is a potent carcinogen.
