Multaq (dronedarone) is an antiarrhythmic medication. A clinical trial was recently halted early after investigators noted a two-fold increase in stroke, heart failure and death in patients receiving Multaq compared to patients taking a placebo. Multaq is manufactured by Sanofi Aventis.
