Darvon and Darvocet are pain relievers used to treat mild to moderate pain.

It has been reported that Darvon and Darvocet, even when taken at therapeutic doses, cause significant changes to the electrical activity of the heart. These changes can increase the risk for serious abnormal heart rhythms. The FDA recommends that healthcare professionals stop prescribing and dispensing the drugs and contact patients currently taking the drugs and ask them to discontinue taking the drugs.
